BIOGRAPHY of AL KRUSE


Alan “Al” Kruse is the President/Owner of Pendulum Resources LLC in its support of various government and private entities as a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).  He is also the President and owner of Eagle River Management Company. He is a consultant to numerous defense and non-defense companies in the areas of logistics, supply chain management, business development, finance, environmental compliance and restoration, and software sales.

Colonel Kruse’s final two military assignments included Commander of Rock Island Arsenal and Chief of Staff, Field Support Command, Rock Island, Illinois. He retired with over 26 years of service.

Colonel Kruse has held a variety of command and staff positions including: Executive Director for Munitions, Industrial Operations Command; Logistics Instructor/Author, Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas; Commander, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa; Branch Chief, Procurement Office, Subsistence Directorate, Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he planned and managed total worldwide supply chain management for grocery items for the U. S. Military.  He was Commander, 9th Ordnance Company, Miesau, Germany; Materiel Officer, 72nd Ordnance Battalion, Miesau, Germany; and Chief, Procurement Office, Rock Island Arsenal.

His military education includes the Field Artillery Basic Course, Ordnance Officer Advanced Course, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Armed Forces Staff College, the Program Manager’s Course, and the U.S. Army War College.

Mr. Kruse is a native of Wilmot, South Dakota. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/Business and was commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate through the ROTC program into the US Army Ordnance Corps. He also holds a Masters Degree in Personnel Administration from South Dakota State University.


Al is currently the Illinois State President of the Association of the US Army (AUSA).  He also holds positions on the Board of Directors of several for-profit, non-profit and community organizations.


Al and his wife Betty have three grown daughters who are all married and eight Grandchilden.
